Overview
The IEEE Green Technologies Conference is offering student awards in the following categories:
- Student Travel Awards
- Student Best Paper Award
- Student Best Presentation Award

Student Travel Awards
To support student participation, the conference will offer three Student Travel Awards, each in the amount of $500.
Eligibility Criteria – Applicants must:
- Be IEEE Student Members
- Be the lead author of a paper accepted for presentation at the conference
- Be enrolled in an academic institution (undergraduate or graduate; U.S. or international)
Application Requirements – Students must submit a single PDF file to the Awards Chair. The PDF file must include:
- A completed application form
- Proof of current enrollment (e.g., student ID or an official enrollment letter)
- A letter from the student’s advisor supporting their participation and describing the relevance of the conference to the student’s academic or professional goals
- The student’s CV (limited to 3 pages)
Deadline:
Applications must be submitted by February 13, 2026 to the Awards Chair.
Student Best Paper Award
The Student Best Paper Award recognizes outstanding scholarly work authored by a student and accepted for presentation at the 2026 IEEE Green Technologies Conference.
Award Details:
- One Student Best Paper Award will be selected from among all accepted student-led papers.
- The award will include a certificate of recognition
Eligibility Criteria:
- The paper must be authored primarily by a student, who is the lead and presenting author.
- The student must be enrolled in an academic institution at the time of submission (undergraduate or graduate level).
- The student must be an IEEE Student Member.
- The paper must be accepted through the standard peer-review process and presented at the conference.
Selection Process: The Technical Committee and Session Chairs will evaluate the quality of the paper based on:
- Technical merit and originality
- Clarity and organization
- Relevance to the scope of the conference
- Presentation quality during the session will also be considered.
No separate application is required; all eligible student-authored papers will be automatically considered.
