Matt Vasey

Director, AI and IoT Business Development

Matt Vasey is currently responsible for AI and IoT business development at Microsoft working to build out the ecosystem of technology partners, standards bodies, and other innovation catalysts that are required for the new generation of IoT applications, services, and systems. A founding member of the OpenFog Consortium he serves as an officer and board member collaborating closely with members and other founders from Intel, ARM, Cisco, Dell and Princeton University. Representing Microsoft on the OPC Foundation board of directors he is working to further realize the value of IT and OT convergence.

Previous roles within Microsoft include leading the Americas OEM Embedded team working with industrial OEMs to deliver a wide variety of industrial and consumer devices across a range of vertical industries. Outside of Microsoft, Mr. Vasey has led regional and international teams driving revenue and business expansion ranging from startups to Fortune 100 technology companies. Mr. Vasey earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University in Canada.
